To create a password for your new user account: 1. Navigate to your Engage Victoria website. This is the same site that the public sees. 2. In the top right, click **Login**. 3. Click **Forgot password**. A pop up window will appear. 4. Fill in the email address the new account was created for. Click **Email reset password link**. You will receive an email to create your password. 5. Once the new password has been created, you will be able to access your account through the Login button on the Engage Victoria website. When first logging in to Engage Victoria, you will be required to setup Two Factor Authentication (2FA). To log in to Engage Victoria for the first time and set up 2FA: --------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Navigate to your Engage Victoria website. This is the same site that the public sees. 2. In the top right, click **Login**. 3. Enter your username and password. 4. You will now be redirected to the 2FA section of your profile settings, where you will be able to enable 2FA. 5. After clicking on "**Enable**" in the 2FA section, you will be invited to enter and confirm your password. 6. Once you have confirmed your password, 2FA will be enabled and you should see a QR code under the 2FA section of your profile settings. **How to scan the QR code with your authenticator app** Follow these steps to properly scan the QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator app: #### Note If you are not using the Microsoft Authenticator app, follow a similar flow in whatever authenticator app you're using. 1. **Open your Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone.** 2. **Click the + button** on the top right of the screen ![CleanShot 2025-09-11 at 14.40.59@2x.png](/storage/articles/13744014741903.png) 3. **Select "Work or school account"** ![Setting Up the Microsoft Authenticator App – Roanoke College Quick Solutions](/storage/articles/windows-work-or-school-account.4-e1663178364970.png.png) 4. **Select "Scan QR Code"** to activate your camera. 5. **Point your camera at the QR code** displayed on your Civio Engage screen to scan it ![CleanShot 2025-09-11 at 14.44.30@2x.png](/storage/articles/13744051255055.png) 6. **Engage Victoria will now be added** to your Microsoft Authenticator app account list. **Important:** Make sure to scan the QR code using your authenticator app, not your phone's regular camera app. Using the camera app may save the code to your device's passcode app instead of your authenticator app. 7\. Scan this QR code via the authenticator app on your mobile device (as per instructions above). 8\. This will add a new account "**Engage Victoria**" under your authenticator account list. 9\. The next time you will login to Engage, you will be redirected to an authentication page and invited to enter an authentication code provided by the authenticator app. Once the code is entered, just click **Login**. Verifying Email --------------- Before you can access all features and unlock full functionality on Engage Victoria, you must verify your email address. 1. **Check your inbox:** Look for an email with the subject "Please confirm your email" sent from Engage Victoria. ![](/storage/4x9ez13hF6Jy1u8HpxFhQ9KT1rwnCPd0ud1KXGNu.png) 1. **Confirm your email:** Open the email and click the **Click to confirm your email address** button. 2. **Verification Banner:** If you are logged in but have not yet verified your account, a banner will appear at the top of the website stating: *"To complete your registration and unlock all functionality you must verify your email."* #### Important: Verification link expiry The email verification link is valid for **60 minutes**. If you do not click the link within this time, it will expire and you will need to request a new verification email. #### Troubleshooting: Resending the link If you did not receive the verification email or the link has expired: - Click the **Resend verification email** link located in the banner at the top of the Engage website. ![](/storage/2e9BET0OUrGtozUPlU986RO4o862iwDwFYsN1qJG.png) - Check your **Spam** or **Junk** folders if the email does not appear in your inbox within a few minutes. #### Note: Error page when revisiting confirmation link If you click the 'confirm your email' link after it has already been used, the system will display an error page (403 or 404). This is expected behaviour and indicates that your email has already been verified. You do not need to take any further action. Logging in to Engage Victoria ----------------------------- Once you had setup the 2FA after logging in the first time, follow the following steps to log in to Engage: 1. Navigate to your Engage website. This is the same site that the public sees. 2. In the top right, click **Login**. 3. Enter your username and password. 4. You will be redirected to a page asking for the 2FA code. Log into your authenticator app, look for the code and enter the code on the page. Click **Login**. 5. You are now logged in to Engage. 6. In the top right, click on your **username**, and then **Dashboard**, to be taken to the configuration interface where you can start building your projects. ![image-20220117-060440.png](/storage/articles/9493360222479.png) Your profile ------------ To find your profile: 1. Log in to your Civio Engage website. 2. At the top right of the page, click your **username**, then click **Profile**. 3.
