Follow a project
The District Engage notification framework enables email notifications to public users.
When a user follows a project, that user is subscribed to email notifications for project updates. When a project update is published, users following this particular project will receive an email notification.
Note: Following a project does not require the public user to have a registered District Engage account. When a new public user clicks follow on a Project, they will receive a verification email which expires after 60 minutes.

To subscribe to project updates:
On the District Engage website, navigate to the project you want to start following.
On the project Overview page, click + Follow button.
A pop up window will appear. Complete the Email field, and click Follow this project.
You are now following this project, and will receive email notifications for future project updates.
