Publishing content updates

Updated 3 days ago

Content updates require validation through a number of colleague-reviewed states before they are published. This is similar to the workflow process required for publishing a project.

The publishing workflow is dependent on both your internal workflow and your user roles and permissions. A user role has associated publishing permissions and controls what you can publish and what status you can change a content update to. For more information about user roles.

Publish content changes

If you are an internal user with the appropriate permissions, you will be able to publish changes that have been made to project pages.

When publishing content updates, you have two options:

  • Publish now: instant publishing of content updates, or

  • Schedule to publish later: scheduled publishing of content updates on a particular date in the future

To publish changes made on a specific project page:

  1. Navigate to the page you want to edit, then click Edit.

  2. Make the content changes.

  3. Click Publish.

  4. A pop-up window will appear with the two different publishing options. Click Publish now if you would like your changes to be published straight away. Click Schedule to publish later and fill in the publishing date and time in the Publishing schedule field, if you prefer to publish at a later stage.

  5. Once you have finished, click Confirm.

  6. In case you selected the Publish now option, your content changes will be published straight away.

  7. In case you selected the Publishing schedule field, your content changes are scheduled for publishing on the set date. That content will remain under the status Approved until content has been published.
