Create dynamic and engaging content for your consultations with a powerful range of content tools. Create accessible, beautiful web pages, add events and timelines to your project, or provide updates to followers quickly and easily.

How to use content blocks
-------------------------

Content blocks allow you to create unique content types for your project, and display them in ways that make sense to you and your participants.

There are two types of content blocks:

- Content blocks that have unique pages created for the project, for example, events or timelines,
- Content blocks that just add information to an existing page, for example, documents or a location map.

Most content blocks are created through the left-hand menu, while some are directly created by adding blocks to specific project pages.

![image - 2024-03-11T123524.654.png](/storage/articles/9493603287567.png)

The following content blocks can only be created directly on the project page by adding new content blocks: Html block, Project location, Image gallery, Participate embed, Participate list.

Creating a content block does not always automatically display the content on your main project page. When creating a new project, the following set of content blocks will be added to the main project page by default: Participate list, Events, Updates, Documents, Pages. For example, when a page is created through the left-hand menu, a card for this page will automatically be displayed on the main project page.

By clicking **Add block** when on the Edit tab of a project page, you can further customise the content of this page.
