As of 6th November 2024, new surveys will now have their completion rate tracked.
The completion rate can be used to determine how many people who started filling out a survey completed their submission, expressed as a percentage.
Overview
The Completion Rate feature tracks how many users start and successfully complete surveys within Engage Victoria. The completion rate is calculated using the formula:
Completion Rate (%) = (Survey Conversions / Survey Starters) * 100
Key Metrics
Survey Starters: Users who begin interacting with a survey (tracked via cookies).
Survey Conversions: Users who successfully complete and submit the survey.
Completion Rate: The percentage of survey starters who submit a completed survey.
Notes:
If someone starts a survey, closes it, and comes back to it in the same browser and submits, they will be counted as one starter (unless using an incognito window).
If a survey allows multiple submissions, and a user submits a survey then starts another, they will be counted as a new starter each time.
This will not track users who utilise browsers with a heavy privacy focus or have 'do not track' settings enabled.
Where the Completion Rate is Displayed:
1. Top Surveys Widget (Dashboard):
Shows the completion rate for the most popular surveys in the current context, based on filters applied on the dashboard.

2. Survey Overview Page:
Displays the completion rate for a specific survey, factoring in any filters applied (e.g., date range).

3. Customisable Dashboard Widget:
This widget can be added to site, team, or project dashboards to display the overall completion rate for the current context, considering any active filters.

Data Timing and Syncing
Delayed data syncing:
Completion rate data is not 100% real-time. Allow up to 6 hours for new survey activity to affect the completion rate.
